BRENDA AUSTIN

Fully Licensed Massage Therapist, Founder

For over ten years, Brenda Austin has lent her talents to the service industry as a certified massage therapist. A graduate of both Lincoln University, where she earned a B.S. in Wellness, and Metro Business College, Brenda has worked in clinical and spa settings providing quality therapeutic massage and wellness education to her clients. In addition, she is a member in good standing with the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA).

Ever ambitious, Brenda is once again branching out, re-launching her company, Now and Zen Bodyworks.  Located in the Westgrove Plaza the elegant retreat accommodates not only bodywork but treatments such as foot scrubs and wraps.  While her specialties are deep tissue and sports massage, Brenda has a variety of modalities in her employ. She’s able to provide rehabilitative massage to the weekend warrior or professional athlete, and a relaxing escape to the celebrity or the girl next door.

Massage started with me as a way to relieve my muscle soreness and tension in my body.  I then realized how important massage was for the body to heal. I found a sense of peace by receiving massages, practicing mediation, fitness, yoga and Zen. While practicing a better way of living Zen became a way of life, it became my lifestyle. I started to see my body and mind shift in a way I never thought was possible. My hope is that my experiences will help you find a little piece of Zen within yourself.
